Kate Campbell, Workplace Health Provider
I love meeting new people and helping them feel their best. We get to meet people from all backgrounds and learn about their cultures. I also love helping people learn about their health and the active role they can play in caring for themselves. Education is key to giving people control over their injuries and recovery.
You only get one body, so take care of it. Just like a car needs servicing to avoid breaking down, our bodies require attention too. Healthy habits such as nutritious diets, regular exercise, and good sleep quality are all ways to invest in our health and enhance our wellbeing.
I stay healthy by playing tennis and basketball throughout the week and ensuring I do my stretches after a long drive home from work. I prep my meals at the start of the week and implement wind-down time before bed (no screens) to reinforce positive sleep habits.Â
When I am not on site, I always seek ways to further my knowledge, whether regarding musculoskeletal complaints, rehabilitation, or workplace health and safety. My favourite way of learning is through hands-on training days and seminars, as well as listening to podcasts on clinical cases and updated research while driving to work.
