I love the fact that I get to engage with a variety of different people from differing cultural backgrounds on a daily basis. The opportunity to meet a diverse group of people, and provide access to health care to people in remote/rural locations is awesome.
“Please do your exercises!” Getting the patient involved in the management of their injury is pivotal to recovery. I love getting people involved in their care, and helping to guide them to strengthen themselves to become a well conditioned machine.
Get me out onto the floor so I can get a good gauge of what staff are doing in their daily jobs. Truly understanding the biomechanics of each role allows for an extra degree of specificity when managing injured workers.Â
I play soccer for a local club which includes regular training and game days each week. On my off days, I lift weights at the gym. I socialise with friends and family regularly, and make sure I set myself enough time each week to relax and recharge. Mental health is just as important as physical health.Â
I work within the People and Culture team, so when I’m not onsite I’m usually collaborating with the rest of our team on a variety of projects. This often includes recruiting and assisting the training of new staff members and helping to assist our staff with any issues they may face. I love the collaborative aspect of my role, and enjoy problem-solving which is something I get to do every day.Â
